Infor SyteLine history

SyteLine was originally developed by the U.S. firm Symix as a flexible ERP solution for discrete manufacturers. Over time, it evolved through different names (Frontstep, MAPICS) and was adapted to market and competitive changes such as engineer-to-order, make-to-order, and mixed-mode manufacturing. Infor acquired the ERP solution in 2005 and has continued to invest and build on its core strengths while re-platforming it with modern tools and interfaces, cloud capabilities – and even greater industry depth. Today, Infor SyteLine serves as a foundational ERP for Infor’s advanced manufacturing solutions across food and beverage, aerospace, defence, industrial manufacturing, high tech, automotive, and more.
