Your teams deal with enough uncertainty already.

Supplier deliveries move. Production schedules change. Quality issues need immediate attention. Your finance team is expected to explain margins and performance faster than ever. Most days aren't limited by a lack of effort. They're limited by how quickly your teams can find information and act on it.

That's the thinking behind the Infor CloudSuite Industrial (CSI) October 2026 release.

This release focuses on some of the everyday challenges your business faces: planning around supplier variability, keeping quality teams informed, improving financial visibility, and reducing the manual work that creeps into critical processes over time. Because CSI is delivered in the cloud, these improvements arrive without the disruption of a traditional upgrade project.

AI that works within the processes you already run

AI is part of nearly every technology conversation today, but you need more than a promising idea. You need AI that works with your operational data and supports the processes your teams already run.

The October release highlights new AI capabilities that help your teams understand issues faster and take action with greater confidence. Your teams can use the GenAI Assistant to identify the causes of delays across purchase orders, customer orders, shipments, and job orders in plain language, along with suggested next steps. They can also email Assistant results directly from the application, making it easier to share information and everyone aligned. Infor is also showcasing preventive maintenance insights that analyze service history and maintenance trends to identify equipment that may be at higher risk of failure.

CSI provides the operational foundation through Infor OS, while Infor Velocity Suite expands AI and automation capabilities with Industry AI, process mining, automation, document processing, and AI agents.

Planning for the reality of manufacturing

Production rarely follows the perfect plan.

Even when demand is stable, a supplier delay, material shortage, or schedule change can ripple across the shop floor.

Several enhancements in this release give your planners more flexibility to account for those realities. New APS capabilities allow you to include safety time for purchased materials, helping absorb supplier variability without unnecessarily increasing inventory. Your planners can also decide whether materials should be planned at the start of a job or at the start of a specific operation, providing more control over when materials are needed.

If you operate multiple facilities, CSI is also expanding planning support to better reflect how work is executed across your plants and locations.

These changes may not make headlines, but they address the kinds of planning challenges that impact delivery dates every day.

Bringing quality information together

Your quality teams often spend as much time gathering information as they do analyzing it.

Open corrective actions, customer complaints, calibration schedules, and nonconformance reports frequently live across multiple forms and reports. The new Enterprise Quality Hub brings that information into a single view, making it easier to understand what needs attention and where potential issues are developing.

Having a consolidated view doesn't solve every quality challenge, but it makes it much easier to identify and address problems before they become bigger issues.

Better visibility into financial performance

As your business grows, so does the effort required to produce meaningful financial reporting.

Your finance team may still rely heavily on spreadsheets to answer questions about profitability, project performance, inventory, and operational results.

The October release introduces new Financial Reporting capabilities for CSI, including prebuilt dashboards, KPIs, financial statements, self-service analysis, and the ability to drill directly back into CSI transactions.

Additional analytics are now available across sales, purchasing, production, inventory, projects, service, and quality, helping your teams work from a common set of information instead of maintaining separate reports across departments.

The result is less time spent gathering numbers and more time understanding what they mean.

Improvements you'll notice day to day

Not every enhancement is a major new capability.

Some simply remove friction from routine work.

This release includes the ability to pause individual order lines without stopping an entire customer order, improved visibility into serialized material transactions, automatic project cost rollups, better costing analysis, and new separation-of-duties auditing capabilities.

Individually, each change is relatively small. Together, they help your teams spend less time chasing information, reconciling data, or managing exceptions.

Making everyday work easier

Your teams should not have to spend extra time searching for the right action, working through inconsistent screens, or relearning familiar processes when software changes.

The updated Infor Design System (IDS) experience is intended to make everyday work easier with a more consistent design, clearer icons, and more options for your users to personalize their screens. Most CSI forms have been recreated while preserving the manufacturing workflows your teams rely on today.

The modernized forms are currently available through an early adopter program. This work is part of a broader effort to modernize the user experience and make it easier for users to complete common tasks with less effort and greater consistency across the system.

What this means for you

The most valuable ERP improvements are often the ones that help teams work more confidently.

Your planners can build schedules with better information. Your quality managers can identify issues sooner. Your finance teams can spend less time assembling reports. Your project managers can see potential overruns earlier.

Those improvements may not sound dramatic, but they add up.

If you want to see If you want to see what greater visibility and connected processes can make possible, look at companies already running CSI in the cloud. After moving to CSI in the cloud, Functional Devices gained a clearer view across its growing operation, while Electri-Flex replaced paper-based processes with connected information that teams can access and act on more easily. These stories are not tied to one October release feature. They show the longer-term value of bringing manufacturing data and processes together in the cloud.

Looking ahead

The October 2026 release continues CSI's focus on practical improvements that help you see what is happening across the business, respond sooner, and reduce unnecessary work.

From planning and quality to financial reporting, the user experience, and the foundation for AI and automation, the value is not any single feature. It is the cumulative effect of improvements that make the system easier for your teams to use and your business easier to understand.

And that's ultimately what you need from your ERP system: less time managing the system and more time running your operation.
